Joint Commission

Fort Madison Community Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission. The Joint Commission evaluates the quality and safety of care for more than 15,000 health care organizations. To maintain and earn accreditation, organizations must have an extensive on-site review by a team of Joint Commission health care professionals, at least once every three years. The purpose of the review is to evaluate the organization's performance in areas that affect your care.

Individuals are encouraged to contact Fort Madison Community Hospital Administration regarding any concerns about patient care and safety in the hospital that the hospital has not addressed. If the concern continues, you may contact the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, One Renaissance Boulevard, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
